Lasers / Opto Electronics

Frank was hired by Philips Opto-Electronics in 1998, which was shortly after taken over by Uniphase, later JDS Uniphase. Initially he was Engineering Manager for all engineering activities from solid state laser crystal to laser module. Later he led the engineering and production activities for the most advanced lasers of JDS Uniphase, the 2.5 an 10 GB modulated lasers. 

Aktivities were i.a. assembly proces optimization in the field of optics, electronics, mechanical stability and hermeticity, testing and characterization, and the introduction of Lean Manufacturing methods and SPC.
