MEMs

Frank’s experience in the field of MEMs mainly comprises the work on development of devices for brain stimulation probes as developed for a spin-out of Philips. These devices were fabricated under ISO13485 conditions at MiPlaza on the High Tech Campus Eindhoven and were successfully used for clinical trials on patients. Frank was as Interim Senior Project Leader in 2012 en 2013 responsible for both the MEM device development and the development of an assembly process for the probes.

At the moment Frank is again active in the MEMs field: He is leading a project for the industrialization of a micro pressure sensor for medical applications at Philips Innovation Services. In this project he realizes the release for production of a pressure sensor MEM device integrated onto an ASIC.

Next to that Frank supported the volume ramp up of advanced micro-mirror devices en had contact with MEM factories in France, Italy and Sweden.
